We are really happy to have Kenya back on our menu! This marks our first Kenyan release from the November 2021 harvest. We have a number of amazing coffees that will be released throughout the year, this being our biggest Kenyan buying year to date. To start off we have a lovely coffee from the Handege factory.

This AA lot shines with the classic Kenyan characteristics that we love. In the aroma, we find deep grape and purple fruits which open up to a cup that is electric. We find flavors of lingonberry, cranberry, hibiscus, and black currant. It’s really great and coffees like this only get better with time.

The name, Handege, is derived from Ndege, the Swahili word for airplane. Handege Coffee factory is affiliated with Ritho Farmers’ Cooperative Society, located in Gatundu within the Kiambu county and it was founded in 1972.
